Not been posting much but have been addicted to this forum and IH8MUD. Owning a 1996 HZJ80 for last 4 years. JDM Diesel Auto. Had changed the springs recently - maintained Standard Height and facing a few issues. Any help to point in the right direction is appreciated.
- There is a noise whenever I release the Brake Pedal. This happens only when I am Reversing. When I am in D mode, there is no noise.
- There is a noise as if two metal pipes are clanging against each other. This is when I am driving on an incline only. On a flat surface, there is no such noise.
- Have changed the shocks - OEM, all Suspension Bushes and now the Springs too. I still get a harsh ride when I hit any small potholes. On tarmac, it is absolutely fine and cruises well. Even a minor pothole results in a noise and shakes the occupants. Tyres are 275 R 16 with 32 psi. Engine mounts and exhaust mounts have also been changed. Any suggestions?
