Can anyone confirm the warm engine, in neutral idle revs for a 1hd-ft. The fsm says 800 plus minus 50 but even at 750 it just seems a bit too fast. On googling around 600 is mentioned a few times but just wanted to ask.

Thanks

I take it yours is an auto. If the FSM says 800+/- 50 then that's what it is or should be. Mine's a manual and idles around 6-650rpm with the FSM stipulating 700+/- 50. An educated guess would say the auto requires the extra 100rpm to prevent stalling when engaging drive?

Maybe no use as a comparison, but my HZ1 (manual) quite happily sits at 600 on idle.

That's holding very steady there JM, the needle hardly flucuates...:?

As per Clive 600 rpm, 12 valve manual (turbo).

Dave
