Ignition barrel headache

Hi Legends

My ignition key start to get hard to put in. But when I want to order a new ignition barrel from Toyota they re telling that they are not making them anymore.

DO YOU KNOW WHERE I CAN ORDER ONE OR WHAT S THE PART NUMBER

I’m not sure Stephen seems you need a new ignition barrel. Best get the exact part number from Toyota or anyone using your vin plate before searching online for the best option.

This thread may be some help Stephan as I'm guessing (and it is a guess) the 100 has a similar barrel so it may be the steering lock that's causing this. Worth further investigation before ordering something you may not need.

I recommend removing some or all of the split wafers in the lock as it fixed mine three years ago. Most people seem to replace the whole lock for some reason.

I followed this guys Youtube video, the only difference was I drilled out the pin to avoid breaking the face plate like he did.
