Nice to meet everyone... as a Canadian and TLC lover and owner of 40 and 60 series in the past I wanted to share the opportunity with you all. I've been living and working in Colombia for the past 3 years and have noticed the huge amount of clean LC's here! My friends would import the Japanese models but they all have right hand drive... ours down here are left hand drive and in amazing condition. As a hobby business I have started exporting these back to North America.

Let me know what model you must have up there... i personally love the 70 series here... you can even get them bullet proof here! That is if you have the licence to import that we can source your LC for you. ( The white and the grey one are armoured. )

Contact me to discuss importing your Colombian Toyota Land Cruiser today!

The photos in the add are a few that i've picked up here already, let me know what colour, model and year you are looking for and we can ship it or get a friend together and split the shipping, we can fit two in a container and have them delivered to your port of choice.

Thank you, everyone.

Love the 80! and the plate BUG! Would be quite ironic telling people about off road adventures in your 'BUG'

I want the green one, is it a 40, how much to ship it to the UK?

Hi Malcee,

Nice to meet you.

Let me work out the best shipping from Cartagena or Barranquilla and i'll get back to you tomorrow. Most containers are like 1500 USD plus customs 50 bucks and freight fwd fees of 80 bucks. I'll get an exact price for you for tomorrow.

Cheers,

Blake

They're all left hookers (Left hand drive) I presume? No offence meant and no problem in the UK I also presume, just a matter fact.

I'll find some cheap ones but here a few more to look at. Let me make some calls out to the farms in the country side and pick up some project 40 series for you! Those i can find at at good value.

But for others here is an idea of what is around today. I can't believe the workmanship that's gone into these LC's it's like you said " Show room quality "

I'll be posting more Colombian TLC's as i find them and if any of you have special orders let me know in an email or just post it here.

Hi Clive,

Good point!! Yes they are all Left Hookers. :)

For my buyers in Canada this is what we wanted... there have been several of the Japanese models (Right Hookers) that just don't work with our streets and regulations. So we've had great feed back with finding these ones... be it that I may have to find trucks that are in Hostile territory down here... hence the armoured LC's come in handy.

Is that price including the de-registration etc, from the current motor register?
Are those prices listed above, the total, and only shipping needs to be added?
Plus imort duty, VAT, etc once in UK.

Gra,

Please send me a photo of what you are looking for, that will be much easier.

Are you looking for the 80 like the white 2002, green one 1997 or the grey one 2007 which is more of the PRADO style?

Hi Graham,

These are just asking prices... and i always negotiate for the buyer here. I keep things transparent and we can talk on skype and exchange details as we shop your dream truck (or hobby truck that we all sink way to much love and money into). I've been just having the owners sign over their trucks for cash and then we put them on the boat to their owners who take care of the duties once at your port. I'll post an example of export documents that are required on my side. I have no problem assisting with every step... we have a great freight forwarder and personal friend who is on top of every detail with me for the client.

Cheers have a great day Graham.

Hi Blake,

I'm going to post a link to this over on another car forum I loiter on; the American's there love their 3rd Gen 4Runners (the ones that share bits with a Prado/Colorado/90 series) and some run 80's as well.

The American's will be particularly interested in stuff that is 25 years or older as they can import that without a DOT approval (that's how the Defenders are exported from the UK)

Good luck with it all,

Ed

Hi Ed,

Sounds great... let me know how it goes and if you want you can email PM. Thanks for the leads! I always kick back so if something comes up we'll be in touch.

Have a great day.

Blake

Just double checked the years; it is 25 years for the USA. Here's a quick bit from the UK Land Rover guys which gives you some pointers.

Heard back from a couple of guys on the other forum; they're particularly keen on diesel engines so a probably a BJ or HJ4x, or a BJ or HJ7x

Are the ones you've got pictures off petrols, or are some of the older ones diesel?

.
Thanks Blake,

It would be for her, she had always liked the square cut 40 series, but then realised would be difficult to get.
So she then started looking at the Wranglers.
But perhaps a red 40 is possible after all.

The white and green trucks but the latest model so 2002 or later
They were still available in the UK up until 1997 so I'm looking for something newer by a few years.. Is 2002 the latest you've come across?
Thanks for the info
