Hi guys,

I’ve got a 1995 land cruiser vx,
It’s been sat now for about 3 years with both batteries disconnected and am now trying to get it back on the road.

My problem is the red immobiliser light won’t turn off and I can’t figure out why this is.

I’ve tried attaching new batteries and putting the fob next to the immobiliser but still nothing.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Is it an aftermarket immobiliser, saying you use a fob with it suggests it might be. The OEM immobilisers tend to use a chip in the key itself. If it's aftermarket I would just remove it, if you have the OEM one I would go through the procedure to re-pair the key(s) - on the 90 series this involves finding the module behind the dash, pressing a green button and various other things I can't remember now. There is a write-up on here somewhere though. Good luck.
