Thank you for your support. The old girl is really proving to be an
expensive hobby. But the point is that the car is 12 years old and
there are not many 12 year old cars that cost on average so little to
maintain.
It must seem mad to keep putting money into her but the value of the car
is now irrelevant as I have no intention of selling her.
I had another look in the tank last night and there is nothing visible
that could be blocking the flow. So I will be sourcing a Walbro pusher
pump and fitting it over the course of the next couple of weeks. This
should make a big difference and I won't have to keep worrying about
uphill driving anymore!
