Insure an HJ60 to leave UK

Hi
I just bought this
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI....from=R8&satitle=150012910427&category0=&fvi=1
My intention is to pick it up next weekend or so and drive it to Portugal
Ebay suggests the 7 day free from Norwich Union Direct, that probably
even for 3 days wont be free for me.
Since I'm more than 2000 km away were should I click to try to get
good on-line quotes.
Any recommendations on how to have this vehicle exported as smooth as possible?
Thanks
Joaquim

Well done mate - I bought the roofrack off of the same guy!
I'm pretty sure that all insurance quotes in the UK have a 'cooling
off' period where you are allowed to change your mind (maybe 14
days?) so you could in fact get any policy and then cancel it. Just
make sure they don't sting you for any 'admin' fee's as a result.
I've used Sureterm, Firebond and Lancaster which all advertise out of
the Land Rover magazines, but would never actually recommend an
insurance company to anyone ;-)
Hope it's a nice!

Hi Joaquim,
I was the first bidder for this Cruiser (on the 19th) before I decided I
didn't really have anywhere to park it, unless I got rid of my wife's car
but that would have meant divorce I think. My intention was to have this as
a dedicated off-roader and keep the other one for 'best' so to speak. It
looked like a good buy, I hope it runs well for you.

Sorry Chas
Let's hope is alright indeed.
I follow this one for long. First time on Ebay it went for 720 quid,
second time 900, now I will pay 960, for it. Even so much less than if
it had the steering wheel in the right place ;-)
If registration reveals to be to expensive it will end is days on the
family's farm without ever see bitumen again. So one way or another it
will have a decent lancruiser life, maybe even better than my 80 that
sees way to much bitumen for my/is tastes :)
Thanks
Joaquim
