Interchangeable Parts

Hi all,
Does any one know whether the alternators HDJ80 and HJ80 are exchangeable
i.e. will part no 27060 - 17171 fit a 1996 HJ80

Hi Anthony,
What do you mean by a HJ80 - are you referring to a petrol model (they
all started with FZxxx or FJxxx.
Also what years are you referring to.
My gut reaction is that they will be interchangeable, but can check for
sure if you have the VINs of the two vehicles.

Yes, I was trying to help some one out who has a 1996FZJ80 and has been
offered an alternator from a HDJ80

I did a search for the part number you came up with and it referenced
the Alternator assembly part number 27020 and indicates that it will
fit:
FJ80 (3FE motor)
FZJ80 (1FZDE motor)
HDJ80, HZJ80 (1H# motor)
So my guess is that it will fit.
As a double check, call somebody like PartCo (I use 01793 542 022 in
Swindon) and ask them for the part number of one LC and then get them
to check to see what else it fits.
