Hello, Re my post a few weeks ago about my leaking injector pump. It was leaking from the join between the main pump body and the cast iron pressure manifold.
Only an o ring worth a few dollars but hours to take off and re fit the pump! I really could not afford to pay a garage to do it and need the truck for getting to work.
So I removed the top pump cover and the solenoid which allowed me better access to the join where the leak was. I sprayed carb clean and wire brushed the join. Carb cleaned again. Then I spread JB Weld into the join and coved it a bit where it met the pump body on top and bottom of pump.
It has worked! $22 nzd to fix my leak. Probably only used about the size of a couple of peas worth of epoxy. You can't even see it unless you really look. I wiped off the excess as best I could.
Cheers and Merry Xmas everyone.
