Julian, sorry but I can't find your original posting on this. I
recommend duralmin. I once bought a house with an oil fired boiler
and the previous owner also had to replace the baffle. As a gas
turbine engineer he had knowledge - and easy access - to what he
described as the ideal material. It remained there for the 20+ years
I owned the house. I even changed the boiler jacket and kept the
baffle as it was like new. HTH
