Hello from Brisbane, Australia -- joining with a June 2006 Toyota Landcruiser Sahara (similar to VX) with 4.2 litre 1HD-FTE turbodiesel with AHC still intact and working. The additions are ARB steel Deluxe Bar at the front with ARB 32 Intensity LED lights, GME UHF radio, Kaymar basic rear wheel carrier (no rear bar), Tow-Pro Trailer Brake Controller, Anderson plugs, Firestone CR5114HP helper airbags inside standard rear coils. That's about it -- because under local laws the Gross Vehicle Mass (GVM) must stay below 3,260 kilograms (7,172 pounds), including passengers, fuel, water, and everything in or attached to the vehicle. A trailer with brakes up to 3,500 kilograms can be towed but the weight on the ball or hitch must not send the 'Cruiser itself over its GVM limit of 3,260 kilograms. An officially registered "GVM Upgrade" is a possibility with AHC replaced by a conventional heavy duty suspension, as many others have done. For now, Mr and Mrs IndroCruiser, will live with the challenges of the very comfortable AHC system for their travels around outback and urban Australia -- now that children have left the nest!
