Hi folks,

Having an issue with water venting from the ports on left and right side of center console (fwd of shifters). Mostly coming from right side port and entire right side floor-bed is damp. My initial thinking is it’s a clogged AC drain. I have attached pictures of the port. Has anyone dealt with this before?

Hey mate, I'm having the same problem on my KZJ71G, and apparently, it's a common thing (but not normal). Most of the cases that people have posted are due to water leaking from the lower corners (the right one in your case) of the windshield, confirm this in your vehicle. In my case, it somehow leaks from there and runs through some borders behind the dash until it drips to the carpet.

My experience of wet footwells in my 70 was this: the ‘moonroof’ has drains that run down the inside of the A pillars,( I think the screen does this also), these exit into the side sills where the water then drains out via a little pleat in the weld of the edge seam. This slot is very smal and is easily blocked by dirt sprayed up from the road. Once blocked the water accumulates in the sill until full then backfeeds into the footwell.

solution: use a cable tie end to clear the slot, leave this cable tie in the slot and then you can easily keep the drain hole clear.
