lc5 surging

hi has anyone had a problem with the engine surging my 60 plate lc5 surges 200 revs when the engine is warm and ticking over thanks glyno

When idling the revs on mine rise and fall slightly when the air con is on – have you tried switching the A/C off to see if that stops it, Glyno?

Hi Glyno, don’t think it’s a problem at all, I imagine the engine is just running like that to drive the compressor………..I’ve had 3 120’s as well and they all do the same thing as I remember.

Normal operation is to 'idle up' which simply gives the engine a little more fuel to stop it stalling and cope with the load of the AC compressor. So what you report is perfectly normal by the sound of it.
