Leaky Sump

Hi guys - any help or advice is appreciated.

1996 4.2 Manual GS

I recently noticed a little oil around the sump drain plug, but as time has gone on it has got more.

I had a look last night and it seems to be coming from the back of the sump between the sponge that sits between the gearbox and sump. It is quite rough and flaky up there. Has anyone had this before?

My question is does anyone know of a good place to get a new sump for a reasonable price? Or does anyone know where I can get decent second hand one?

Is it a tricky or indepth job to do? Do I need a new sump gasket or can I use RTV sealant?

Any suggestions or advice would be really great!

Thanks very much Roy

Sounds like it could be your rear man crank seal rather than the sump. Is there any sign of oil leaking out the vent holes in the bell housing?
