Heh yeah I spoke to Chris just before his cool climb, he said I ll give it a go with a cigar all lit and just off he went!

Just back from another great weekend. Great to meet new and old friend, and unbelievably, after Friday night, the weather held out.

A big thank you to Tony and crew for putting on the event and another big thank you to David and crew for keeping us fed. Well done all.

Fantastic weekend guys. Great to see you all. Hope everyone got home ok, no dramas. Ryan, sorry we couldn't fix your alternator. Have a look at the vid of you in the bog hole, that's a quite a spray of water there and it's right next to where it's mounted.
Didn't get any driving done at all Sunday, so rather missed the fun really. Yes the Scouts were fantastic, polite, helpful and great cooks too! Hope you are somewhat closer to your trek budget.

TonyS, thanks for the use of your mud once again. One day, I shall bring you a trailer full of it back again. Really glad that some of the people behind the names turned up for a look at us - Paul and Adrian especially.

So to faces old and new, great stuff, see you all again at the next one.

Chris

Was good to finally put some faces to names. Sorry I did not meet more of you.

Thanks for making me feel so welcome for the few hours i spent with you.

Finally home after limping the cruiser back at 40mph. :icon-cry:

Awesome weekend as always!

Great to meet up and chat with everyone, and meet a few new people. :icon-biggrin:

Thanks Tony, I had an excellent time as always and loved the extreme section youve built.

Dave, you and the scouts did a great job of providing the food, and cleaning the trucks at the end of the weekend.

Really going to miss the Lincomb gatherings. :|

Thanks guys, enjoyed my day there was good meeting up with old and new folk!

Thanks for Tony, Ian, Stacy and Toby for putting on yet another great event, great turn out as well. Had a great time even tough I turned up late and did not really take part in the challenges (apart from one, hope know one has a video of that).

Oh and thanks for Dave and the Scouts the food and truck cleaning service.

I ditto all the above from Rob.

A good turn out this time and enjoyed the chats and the weekend in general.

Myself and dave got home fine and for the first time EVER made a full weekend with no breakdowns.(a few others made up for that) I just had a blow out on the trailer near uttoxeter,i can cope with that though.

Karl :icon-biggrin:

Just got home myself after packing the stuff away at the scout hut.

Id like to say a massive thank you to everyone for supporting us. We had a great time and the Explorer Scouts really enjoyed themselves, the have all gone home raving about Land Cruisers so I think we might have a few future members.

A huge thank you goes to Tony for letting us run the catering and jet wash mud all over his yard!

Now Im off for a shower to wash the mud of about 20 cars out of my hair!

Thanks to to Tony, Ian and the rest of the crew for a great weekend. As many have said, It Was good to catch up with old faces and meet new ones.

THanks to those that:
1. Helped extract me from the mud hole.
2. Helped with my alternator problem.

And a big thanks to warren for the help in getting the truck back home. Who would have thought it would take three battery changes to make it home.

Ryan, sorry we couldn't fix your alternator. Have a look at the vid of you in the bog hole, that's a quite a spray of water there and it's right next to where it's mounted.

No worries Chris, cheers for the help . At least I now know how to get it out!

Looking forward to the next one.

Ryan

Cracking weekend and the whole family enjoyed themselves. Top marks to the organisers and marshalls. Thanks to Boab for the mugs mags and talks. Thanks to the scouts for the great food too.

...so whens the next one?

I had a great chilled weekend - got home last night after 10 some time after another long haul up the M5 / M6 / A702 ... what a schlep!

I can only say that the scouts did a great job - always with a smile, happy to engage and banter, great kids. Hope they get the funds together to do the Nepal trek to Mount Everest Base Camp at Easter - they were certainly pumped at the thought! The car wash at the end was a great idea - but a fiver was too little in my opinion so they got £10 from me - one less thing for me to worry about next weekend

Thanks as always to Tony and the gang for the games and hospitality - always so good! Well done, team - again!

Roll on the next one :icon-biggrin:

Hi guys,

Thanks to you all for supporting this event, looking at the photos already, make me realise how mad some of you are!! Good to know you all enjoyed it.

The usual request now is for your opinions, good or bad, and future improvements you would like to see.

Also punches 2,4,5,and 8 seem to have gone a miss, though I haven't looked to closely yet! Think they were the ones Toby and Ian put out!

Will sort out next date soon. Are you happy to have the scouts cater again. If so will talk to Dave and get their dates, after their adventure.

Cheers,

Good day out, great putting faces to names and what a good turnout of members :eusa-clap:

One day, I too will have a land Cruiser

Hey Tony, now you know how it is for us! I'm sure they're out there.:laughing-rolling:

Hey Chris, did you make it up Rubie hill on Sunday. You were VERY confident on Sat evening after a few bevvies :laughing-rolling:

Hi tone, it's was a great event and having the scouts made it all better, why not have a cruiser tug of war competition, taking up the slack and go, any jerking by a driver is disqualified. Probably would need an area u don't mind tearing up the ground!!, can scouts provide soft drinks as well?? Also bigger camping ground cos I think it's been such a success that more will come to the next meet. I liked the way you gave us freedom of the woods to go as we please, have more parts to explore!! Are there any green laning in the area for a guided tour??
Excellent once again and thanks

I too would like to Echo what everyone else has already said and that is to say thank you to all involved in planning, putting together, organizing, cooking and tidying up after the weekend. It was truly a good crack and my two boys have not stopped telling everyone they see very loudly about what they did and what they saw. I should have left around 14:00 to be home in time for a roast with the rest of the family, but ended up back in the woods around 14:30 for one last look around before getting off. Finally left the farm around 17:30 and got home around 20:45!!!!!

Anyways roll on the next one :)

Here's a couple of photos to keep you all going :) :) :) ;)
