Julian, your comments appreciated. I registered as a member, as opposed
to a guest, on the Birfield site. The search engine is pretty good and
has thrown up a lot of hits re - tanks, predictably from Australia.
Anyone wanting to find info would be well advised to join the site.
Registration was simple and quick and there is a good set of
instructions on how to search for all things L/C related. It saves
asking questions that have already been answered.

Gareth
I might consider doing this myself now, as I'm now after a second LRFT
- the first LRFT was bought from South Africa in 2000

Hi Gareth,
I don't actually ever recall registering, although I am on a couple of
their lists already.
The archives are a great resource - I always search my own messages (I
keep them all) from the lists that I am subscribed to and then go to
Birfield.
