Hello
We are the publishers of Today Tomorrow magazine for Toyota in the UK, and
are looking for case studies for an upcoming feature. We=B9re after people (UK
only please) who use their Land Cruisers for serious off-roading/towing
purposes, and have an interesting story to tell. Would you be interested in
appearing in the magazine? It would involve a quick interview and
photographs. We=B9re looking for men and women, and particularly for older
vehicles that have been running well for years and would showcase the
reliability and durability of the car. If you are interested, please email
back with a short paragraph on why you would be suitable.
Many thanks

Dear Vicki
I'd be interested - I'm an archaeologist (freelance) and use my 'J' (UK)
registration Toyo Landcruiser for my research surveys in the Sahara Desert,
basically, wherever I do surveys my toyo goes with me - I overland to
Tunisia, Libya and Algeria either from Genoa (Italy) or Merseilles (France).
I've got a few slides you can borrow (about three or four) taken whilst in
Algeria on survey and a few photos of the landcruiser here in the UK, but
nothing apart from this, apart from lots of shots of desert scenery!
My research survey areas are the Tassili-n-Ajjer and the Algerian Tadrart in
Algeria and the Libyan Tadrart and Tadrart-Akakus in Libya, basically its SE
Algeria and SW Libya; there are some very remote areas where I conduct
survey and research.
I've also been to southern Egypt and northern Sudan. I'm planning on
extending my research to Chad and Niger but have to wait until it is
considered a little safer than it currently is. Not that I don't go anyway,
if an opportunity arises, supported by all the necessary and relevant papers
(permits, visas, permissions, carte du passage, etc) as I have to take risks
in my fields of research; but its worth it! Every step of the way!
Looking forward to hearing from you very soon - and I thank you in advance
for responding (positively!) to this email.
Kindest regards
Renate HAUPT (Ms)
Desert modded toyo (basic) - snorkel, LRFT, extra lights for driving in the
desert and at night, bashplate, extra spare wheel carrier, heavy duty shocks
and springs etc
