Looking to buy a 120, rust concerns

Contact them and ask for the REG No, Tell them you want to do an MOT History check, Put them on the spot, If they give you the Number maybe they've got nothing to hide.... Or you might not hear from them again

Rich iv literally looked over all these landcruisers for the last two weeks Seeing 120s when I close my eyes haha. Ended up going to see this yesterday and bought it. Im just genuinely shocked at how nice an auto box from 2003 was. Alot of surface rust underneath but I couldn't put a hole in any of It so seemed OK
Taking to a rust specialist next week to get it all cleaned off and sealed. Fingers crossed they don't see anything I missed.

+1 with the switch. Does look like you've found a unicorn Dean, very nice.
Hefty price, but thats how it is at the moment, and as per another thread, sometimes worth paying a premium for the right one. Let us know how you get on with the clean up and treatment underneath.

Thanks guys. Fingers crossed. I did notice the button but didn't figure it out on inspection. Will report back when It gets delivered. I originally wanted to pay about 6 but wasn't happy with anything at that price point tbh. I want to make a overland/ greenlaner build and the lc3 has the most basic form 4x4 with less stuff to go wrong in my humble eyes.

Dean, where the button/switch has been added, that would be a blank there, so an addition for something someone has added to your cruiser that wont be found in the handbook/manual.
Just need to figure out what, when it's delivered and start playing.
Maybe all the 120 seekers should start looking over there !
Good luck with it.

I don't mean to steal this tread so sorry for that!
But those rear seats will be out straight away to be honest as that's where I want recovery bins and fridge ! Happily give them away for free if anyone here wants them haha. Awkward moment with the second start button. My mate was like what's that for and I said maybe to start off the second battery.... Il take the whip of shame out later....
I do know now it's for a second gear start ‍♂️ I hope haha! Will start a new tread tomorrow when she arrives and introduce her !

Well done mate, I loved my old Colorado, It had 285,000 on the clock when i sold it, So its proof they are well capable..... Sold it for a 120, Can you believe it... :wtf:

Or the sprial cable in the steering wheel, which is what mine was. About £180 these days, and 15 mins to swap. The workshop manual has a full set of instructions to diagnose where the problem is, that may invove getting your multi meter buried in some wires.

Ha,.yes that's the one I meant. So another 120 added to the list. £180 is interesting, I was quoted £350 by MrT.
