Just a quick question on LPG and the 80 series.....
I=B9ve been checking out the tank position and I=B9m being told that the only
recommended position is in the boot. I=B9m sure I=B9ve seen LPG converted cars
with underslung tanks.
Can anyone clarify this?

When I asked about this they recommended a toroidal tank to go in the
spare wheel slot, so the spare has to go on the back.

Other options are long thin(nish) tanks under the sides. I have seen
this on a Disco, but not a TLC. They lost some ground clearance though.

I'd suggest you post the question on 80scool as there are quite a lot of
LPG conversions running around in Oz.

Hi Neill
You may have seen a Colorado like mine with an underslung tank, but my
spare wheel is mounted on the rear door I think an 80's is under the
boot floor.

I have two tanks in a 'cage' where my spare wheel was. It gives 100L usable. My spare is now on a 'cheap' swing out
carrier. I can send pics etc. if u're interested. I did not loose any ground clearance (as already had factory towbar
installed).
