Right, here we go.
If we are talking a diesel cruiser there is no need for a pusher pump, the
cruiser pump is a dual stage one that sucks the fuel up and then pressurises
it for the injectors. Ali is not good for tanks, it hardens with either age
or work so in time it will crack with stress. Steel is the better option,
unfortunately, both for lifespan and repair.
My thoughts are a tank where the spare fits on UK models, a changeover valve
to dictate which tank fuel is drawn from with a rocker switch to select. The
same rocker switch will switch over the fuel guage to read on whichever tank
is being used. I also like the Toyota dual filler, made for the job and
looks the part.
