Hi, i just bought a 1998 100 series 4.2 TD. It has a mileage of 168,000 miles. The gear oil was changed for the first time ever it seems and now sometimes when i brake i feel a vibration which feels the downshift is being delayed. Another friend also bought same vehicle and changed gear oil first time has similar issues. Can anyone guide me what to do now?

Yes thanks a lot. Just wanted to know why this problem has suddenly appeared after replacing old gear oil. My friend also had this issue after replacing gear oil. Does this new gear oil has anything to do with TC? Also some mechanics predicted that this will happen if you change gear oil after long time not changing it. They say the problem goes away in around 10,000 miles as the lube viscosity changes . I have my doubts on what the mechanics are saying. What should i do?
