Jonnie i will post a pic as soon as it comes out the shed again. Having a major clean up this weekend i think as need to make some serious room at my yard as ran out and keep getting told off by the landlord. :naughty:

Hi Karl,

You got it then!
Welcome to the world of 40s

Look forward to watching the progress during its re-birth.

Regards

Hi Rodger, this is one I was talking about. This is one for the outside maybe totally for offroad use or donar car. Havnt really made my mind up yet. Still in progress with sorting a deal out with some other bits and bobs. I'll load the pics when the deal is done and a hand shake has taken place. Karl

See now I love the idea of a 40, but then I look at that last one and think I could never restore that :snooty:

Im with you on that one tony. That one i will just leave at a back of a shed somewhere untill i have time to do something with it. Maybe just good for parts. Id love to have the time money and experience to be able to restore it tho

Very nice Karl. I have some old pics of XBC 793X from a few play days I used to go to :)

Hi john if there easy to dig out would you mind putting them on for me to have a look please? Seems abit top heavy but i havnt had a play in it yet. Did you know the bloke who built it then?
Karl

No I didn't know the bloke just saw the truck at a few play days in 2002 and the front bar looked familiar when you posted your pic.

Used to be brown:

Didn't see it after that because I stopped going pay & play and just went laning. Is the chap driving it who you got it from?

Thanks For that jon,Great to see some old pics. No that isnt the chap i had it from. The bloke i brought iy from had it off the man who did all the mods. I will show him the pics to see if thats him who did it.
It did used to be brown as it was only painted blue externally. I will let you know the mans name when i find out as you may have come across him in the cruiser world. Thanks again karl

Right, I have had a 60series diesel droped into the geen off roader 40 with the roll cage also a 60 gearbox. Droped a set of tractor tyres on 60 wheels on the truck then today off for a play.
To be honest i wasnt really expecting a very good performance from the 40. Set into some overgrown woods and hit the right foot.
I was very very impressed with my new toy and smiles all round
Had a little drive round then back to where i started to meet up with dave in the 80.
He drives in only to get stuck. The next few hours were taken up by tyring to get him out.The ground was so bad the bf muds were just full of wet mud with no chance of any traction at all.
He had front locker working but no rear. To be honest even with the rear i dont think any chance of getting out was possible on his own.
We put the 40 in the 80 at various angles to keep pulling it where we needed to to get it moving. In the end we did it. Hopefully vids will be posted showing this great thing in action. Well happy with the new toy and have to to the decision to defo keep this one. Fun factor 100% Couple of pics
