New Member and a Question

Hi, I live in Austin, Texas and have a '99 Land Cruiser Series 100, 184,000 miles. I've owned it since 2000 and have never really done much with it, but I'm starting to do some offroading and would like--starting small--to do some upgrades. First: tires. I have always run Goodyear 265-75-16 tires on it. The other day I saw a Cruiser with a set of Goodrich 275-70s and really liked the look--and, presumably, the slightly better off-read capabilities. Has anyone in the club had any experience with those tires? They seem to get a lot of good ratings on various tire sites. Any other good alternatives? Thank you for any advice.
