Alan,
Let me know how u do. These are the same tires as moi (mine in 16").
Do me a favour and measure the thread depth all around.
I can then tell u how much I'm have gone in xx miles. I've had some wear and
lost some chucks!
Beware on side slopes they don't hold as well.
Also noticed (on my 80 rig) that (at least in snow, not tried in mud don't
see it here) don't notice any different traction until drop below 14 psi.
Also using chains (straight across links and not diamond shaped) has made no
difference in snow.
Beware that they will dig down (and can get u're axles stuck :)
PS What u pay :)

Subject: [ELCO] New tyres
Just got back from the local ATS, they were fitting my new tyres
33x10.50x15 Simex Jungle Trekker 2s - woohoo!
Tyres supplied by http://www.mountainjacks.co.uk/
Best picture of them is here:

Unfortunately It's too late to go out and play with them tonight (it'd
be dark before I got to the nearest site) but I'll be there early
tomorrow to try them out. I've also got a RTV trial on Sunday, so
that'll be the real test. I'll let you all know how they do....

I'll measure them tomorrow, Lal. They were about ?160 per corner. I
don't know the exact price yet, I originally priced the 33x11.50x15
which were ?161.49 each, but they're not available until April so I
settled for the 10.50s
I'm disappointed to hear about the side slopes though, that's the reason
I changed from the BFGs to the Simexes, they (the BFGs) didn't do as
well as my Grizzly Claws on side slopes and I was hoping the Simexes
would be better. What were you comparing them to when you say they don't
hold as well?

Comparing with BFG AT's so not really a comparision (at opposed to MT's or
something)
However heard the same remarks from a LR90 guy as well.
We're taking pretty slick conditions and like all things it would be nice to
compare same truck, different tires under the same conditions. However that
rarely happens - so its all a guess.
Be interesting to see the BFG v's Grizzly's v's Simex and u're impressions
