New to landcruisers

Hey Guys,
I found this list whilst searching on the internet.
I'm new to the land cruiser game having had a number of land rove products
(and getting totally frustrated by all of them). I am looking to get my
first 80-series which will be used for commuting, green laning, expeditions
and towing my portal axled challenge truck.
I'm really struggling to find the right vehicle- a well looked after 4.2td
with reasonable miles (under 180k) with aircon (not bothered about leather
of other interior options)- it must be a UK car with front and rear lockers
that work.
If anyone knows of anything for sale up to around =A34000 ( a tall order I
know) then I'm your man!
Any help much appreciated.
Cheers
Jim

Actually, thinking about it....
Does anyone know if Ray Dadd still has his "spare" 80 for sale?
It's a manual 4.2 with cloth interior ISTR?
Might be of interest Jim?

Well hello and welcome to list Jim,
Here on the continent you can not find a good 80 for less then 15 000
euro except in Germany. Real good ones want 25 000 euro or more. You
will have butt cheeks time to find one for =A34000 !

Alright Jim
Happy hunting....
There's a few for sale in Ireland at the moment ( http://search.autotrader.ie ) for about =A36K with 50K miles - not sure how reliable the mileage is though.....?
Cheers
Niall

Re> and you still cant get one in a breakers yard.
Perhaps theres some mileage to be had in ringing around a few places -
bound to be one tucked away somewhere.....
Might give it a few hours some Friday afternoon
Cheers
