I'm Pat McMurray, my Cruiser is a 1987 FJ60. Just got it rolling down the road after nearly a year. Trying to go stock but its been a challenge, I had to buy another Cruiser for parts, so in reality I own 1 1/2 Land Cruisers. Soon to get it checked to see if it passes smog, California can be such a pain.

After the smog I start working on the interior, I'll probably go vinyl instead of carpet with Dynamat first.

Something that I have not been able to find is the windshield fluid reservoir for the headlights.. any suggestions here?

Thanks, looking forward to my Cruiser being my daily driver..

Welcome along Pat. I assume the reservoir is the one on the ( your) drivers side? We don't get many FJ's over here just diesels. I assume your spares truck didn't have one? UK spec 60's didn't have the headlight washers as standard so the only ones are on imports which are rare as rare things. From my experience the plastic which these are made of goes brittle and they easily split. A specialist breaker in Australia/New Zealand or Japan might yield one.
Good luck with the search.

Hi Pat and welcome.
According to www:sor.com it is a discontinued item but they do list used ones being (occasionally) available, although not currently. May be worth getting your name on their list. Their part number is 194-80K.
Another place that may be worth trying is www:cruiserparts.com as they do seem to carry a load of second hand parts.
I'll have a word with a buddy whose has access to Toyota's European stores - maybe they have one hidden.

Regards,

Rodger

Hi,
Had a word with my buddy and he thinks that it may be the same as on an HJ60 but to be sure he has asked for your VIN number and he can then do a detailed check for price and availability. You can p.m. the number to me if you want.

Regards,

Rodger

Welcome aboard Pat, keep posting to get your count up!
