"No charge light" wire

hi dennis
im not sure how relevant this is, but i have fitted split charge systems
before for caravans so the leisure batterys charge when you are on the
road but the charge circuit gets disconnected once the engine is off.
its a "smart relay" it only works when there is 13.8 volts going to it,
as soon as the voltage on the tow car drops to below that, the relay
cuts the charge circuit. only thing is, it only charges at 15amps. but
it might be enough. the other alternative that i have used is a split
charge diode. just take a feed from your own battery to the diode and a
feed from the diode to the leisure battery. will only allow current to
flow one way so it'll charge the leisure battery but not let the current
be drawn back by the vehicle electrics.#
