Oil consumption Poll

Hi Again,
Something else I am curious about. In one of the threads last week a
number of you were talking about the amount of oil you consume between
service intervals and it seemed quite common for a number of you to do
top ups.
My '94 80 has 145,000miles on the clock and doesn't need any topping up
between services (every 5000-6000 miles) - I run on Comma semi-
synthetic bought in bulk from local motor factors.
So to get a record of this, just for diesel 80s for the time being,
please provide:

Service interval:
Amount of oil required for top ups between services:
Oil used:

Hey Julian
Ill stay out of this one at the moment because I would only win on the top
ups or is that LOSE. After the next oil change ill know more.

Amount of oil required for top ups between services: about 500mls every
15,000km
Oil used: Amsoil 5w30 HDD
Average driving: mixed city highway

Oil consumption negligible...
Currently using Castrol GTD Magnatec, allegedly semi-synthetic. Not using
synthethic because it is hard to get in remote locations but maybe I
should...
Mix of m-way thrash, at speeds over 130 kph, London crawl and off-road
thrash to get photographs.
