Hi Guys
Just had the engine oil analysis feedback and it appears that the oil is contaminated by water.
On checking it, its not coolant but fresh water cantamination.
So where could it get in, I have done no swimming in the cruiser and all hoses appear to be tight.
cheers

John,
You don't say how much water, if a small amount it could be
condensation from inside the engine washing in to the oil. This will
get boiled out of the oil at operating temperatures on a good run but
if you have been doing lots of short journeys it does not have the
time to clear. Should you have a leak that is letting water in then it
will also let oil out and you would normally spot it.

Hi Clive
Thanks for the reply.
The amount is 0.85% which they concider important once its over 0.2%.
It just seems weird its coming up as fresh water as oppossed to coolant
which contains Clycol which is normal.
Where would water get in and oil leak out so I can look more percisely.
Whats the price of Diesel now in the UK.
Cheers
