Dirk, the combination of of a short propshaft and a 90mm lift has resulted in your propshaft yokes / bearings being put through too steep an angle - hence the bearings are grumbling. You answered it yourself really when you mentioned the noise stopped when laden.
Either get the ride height down, six bags of cement are not an option ! or - get a "double - jointed " propshaft. One end has an exta yoke in it that allows for more articulation. Very popular in the USA rock crawling circles. Source in the USA or find a firm over here that makes custom propshafts.
