There=92s a VX auto diesel for sale locally.

on a brief glance and I=92ve been offered a test drive.

There was a 1995 auto with leather and 200K miles on sale in the north
of Ireland for =A33,450 a while back - I thought that was a bargain.
With that 92 - you know the usual checks to carry out - you could be
looking at BeB change out??
Bottom line - depends on the service history but you won't get a whole
lot for less that 3K

For what it's worth, in January 2008 I bought a '96, 4.2 Diesel(24 valve, GS
spec)) Manual with 330,000 miles on the clock for ?2750. It drives fine,
albeit with a bit of ware on the drive train.
Once they get to 10 -12 years old you really do pay your money and take a
chance. Most 80,000 mile cars have been clocked so always try and dig into
the history, check mileages from old MOT certificates (if available), etc.
I had a '92, model some years ago, and did have quite a few problems. As I
recall, Toyaota re-vamped the model in '92 so you might want to check if
it's pre-face lift or not. Personally, I would look for a 24 valve model, -
1996 onwards, But that's just my opinion.

Thanks for the thoughts.
I know a 24 valve is more sensible but I want an auto.

Most of them are missing those. I had ARB lockers put in mine and have
third row seats to install. You do occasionally find them. Also
leather.
