Looks great , the 105 always makes me wonder "why no turbo"

I just investigated and apparently Toyota understood if they made it turbo then nobody would buy the 100 series .

Insanity .

It does look in well preserved condition, better than nearly all UK Cruisers. They always were a bit utilitarian but they were aimed at the utilities market. Should give you decades of service if well maintained.

Those pics weren't taken in the UK me thinks .

The only vehicle that could replace my 80..... easy to put a turbo 1HDFT in it or even an FTE....
looks very clean and you could put a VX 100 series interior in it if you want less utility..... it all comes down to how much are they asking ...

^^^^^^^^^^^^
Good question....
If the 80 had an 1HDFT and the 105 was the non turbo 4.2 then the 80....
If both were running 1hd ft's then a much more difficult choice....... possibly the 105 because it's got a bit more room inside....
An 80 is actually narrower than a classic range rover in the front foot wells and also by 3 inches in the rear ones.... despite being much bigger outside .

it does look good TBH.

factory sub tank, front bench seat and manual. is it a H151 trans the same as the 100 series manual?

it would need some serious rust proofing if it came to the uk.

i would also be looking around for a 1HD FT engine with Gturbo and intercooler as a future upgrade..
