Hi Renate,
The Grasshoppers club house is behind the Tosco's which in turn is behind
the Famous Gillette Building on the A4 (junction with Syon Lane) before you
get into London proper. It's a bit of a trot from Bristol though.

Sorry, a bit of a typo there, that of course should read Tesco's.

Hi Renate,
Any date at all except for 18-22 Oct would be fine for me, I'm in France
then, unfortunately not driving.
When heading in to London if you turn left at the Gillette Building (junc of
Syon Lane and A4 you can't miss it, it is floodlit blue) you will soon come
to a mini roundabout, take first exit followed very quickly by another
roundabout, again take first exit, the road then bears round to the right,
as soon as the bend straightens there is a small road on the right turn into
it and at the end is the Grasshoppers Rugby Club.

France eh?! I won't be travelling to france for a little while yet although
I'm meeting up with a couple of overlanders in dec 2006/jan 2007 for a
l-o-o-o-o-n-g trek to that beautiful gem of Mali...its a good job I'm
'covered' for all those little beastly things like killer diseases etc.
What ya doin' in France? I was last there in 2004 on my way to Italy (had
to give some seminars) to the museum in Pinerolo.
Ending up getting a serious puncture bombing along the toulouse highway at
pretty much a maximum of 120 miles an hour! Great fun! but had to pay a
price for the privilege of driving a deserted highway at speed that would
make even my father blush!
I did find a 4x4 garage not far from Lourdes that fixed it for me - if I
recall the place I stayed was expensive, as it is, well, it was Lourdes!
I haven't seen you lot for a while and tis time I addressed the need to
socialise a bit.
As I mentioned in a last email, my diary is - well, let me check - empty,
empty, empty!
So am available anytime.
I know the access to london from the M4 and A4 pretty much very well, as I
used to do it regularly in l'beast (liked showing off...)
Cheers
Renate

Hi Renate,
We are just going to Nice for four days for a short break, the whole coast
along there is very picturesque and easily explored with an excellent bus
service, so no driving for me. I remember doing 120 (indicated) round the
M25 years ago in my first 80, a puncture at that speed must have been
horrendous. I'll be looking forward the meeting, whenever that will be?
