Hello all: I am a potential new owner. Wanted to get some tips and advice from others who have recently purchased a new Land Cruiser. I know that one of the main barriers that scares me is fuel consumption. What do you mostly use yours for? I live in the suburbs and historically have never gone off-roading. However we are starting to do more camping and outdoor activities with the family and wanted to get an idea of what most people do with their Land Cruisers, thank you

Welcome. We can help with that but it might help if you narrowed down just which model you might be looking at. No good us waxing on about the 80 series if you want a 200.

Hello & welcome to the club.If fuel consumption is a consideration then maybe a large 4x4 isn't the best choice.Considering the purchase price , servicing and insurance , depreciation etc.the difference between 18MPG & 25 MPG is about €13.50 a week here in Spain .Nothing to get excited about .

Sounds like a 120 series, 3.0 Liter auto, would fit the bill.
Probably the most economical Land Cruiser.
Expect around 30 to 34 on a motorway run at 60 MPH.
