I'm trying to get new power steering hoses made up, for the return and feed hoses that screw into the rack ports. Can anyone tell me the size of the thread ports in the rack and what connection I need.

I know one of the ports is straight forward M16mm.

The other one seems werid, like 16.6mm but what thread size screws into it. From googling I found the following size mentioned, 6JIC x17mm 0 1.5I.F. Is this correct?
I think I.F, stands for Inverted flare.

Ok, so turns out the port size is M17 * 1.5 -6H and M17*1.5 doesn't actually exist in the world of hydraulic fittings, Toyota made this connection specific for their rack. Did they do that to make things awkward so that you had to go back to them to buy the oem part, but these hoses don't give trouble so it's not like they were selling loads of them, or was it for some other reason only they know. Hmmm!

Anyway, essentially no one could make me up new hoses, a machine shop would have to make that specific M17 connection from scratch so I just bought a good set of original hoses from a breakers.
