I've seen this promo piece and was amazed to see a 90 series being the star of that scene, but I can attest to its performance credentials, having blitzed 2 land rover products on the Nurburgring many moons ago in my trusty 95.. about time the rest of the world sees the truck for what it is..

Cheekily felt a bit happy inside with owning one of these, albeit mine is not a 3.4.

Cars that were featured in Bond films have the tendency to increase in market value, haha..

Ahhh... but, I did drive home from the cinema in a 3.4 Collie ( I really did). Maria was not impressed with my driving on the way home.....

I must admit I'm getting good inspiration from looking at the clip again, as I prepare to bring my missus on a run to the maternity ward for the birth of our second... hours to go... despite having a much newer Rav4 in the yard, we are taking the cruiser at her request (better labour seating position apparently), and our roads are only slightly better than those in the movie....

The name's Bob.... James Bob.....

Ha… can’t help laughing. The name's Bob.... James Bob

But childbirth and baddies car chase are at 2 very different ends of the spectrum.

Good luck anyway, always a nervous time awaiting newborn.

Oh very much different, a momentary indulgence into fantasy land where some very excellent fast driving would be needed...

It will be a modest paced 40 mile drive to the hospital being careful on the bumpy bits :icon-biggrin:

i dont know.

before my youngest sister was diagnosed with diabetes, she collapsed at home one evening. my dad put her in the back of the motor and sped off to A and E. which was 12 miles away. after constantly breaking the speed limit and a couple of dubious traffic light decisions, a copper pulled along side and told him to "pull the #### over". after shouting back he was going to A and E the copper pulled in front and escorted him to the hospital with the blues and twos on.

"sped off" being a relative term as it was a range rover with a perkins diesel conversion..

Best of luck Bob. Have to admit I enjoyed seeing a few land rovers getting written off.

Did the Prado actually ended up sideway? Was in part of the clip. Haven’t seen the movie yet.

Me and my boy (8) saw the film yesterday. The Prado scene is great. Prado survives almost intact with just minor body damage after totalling 2 Range Rovers and 2 new Defenders.

Rest of the film is good too actually, I enjoyed it a lot as did my son who got a tiny bit fidgety in the middle but other than that he had a good time. It is a 2h40m movie though so pushing it for an 8yr old.

I like bond. Not really wanting to go to the cinema, I decided, after fighting a mental battle with myself, to pay the extortionate 16 quid on amazon prime.

Log burner was fired up, beers lined up and pizza all but finished off.

I then fell asleep. With about half an hour to go.

Fuming. Mrs thought it was hilarious..

 brings back memories of the Tyson v Bruno fight live in the UK at stupid oclock in the morning . All drunk and back to Julie's house because she was the only person with a satellite dish , and i woke everyone about 8am with Queens We Will Rock You full blast . Some wandered off home but a few of us stayed to finish off all the beer before the pub opened at 11 . Only to learn the fight we had missed was to be shown on the pubs big screen that afternoon

So Mike sounds like you are not quite over the lurgey yet and in desperate need of help from a pint or several of natures best pressed cider apples and a red hot poker to dip in said pints then it will be get well soon

Saw the film the other day, art imitating life it seems, although I won’t lie I’d love a go in one of those Range Rover SVRs!.
