Ok so I have done a search and only managed to find a complete guide for the key programming on the Lc 80. I want to get a spare key cut for mg collie but also want this coded to the car. Has anyone managed to a add a key to their exsisting alarm system?

Hi Umar ,I got a second key coded for my 95 series , check for locksmiths in your area , they need a machine that reads and clones the code from the original to the new key , good luck .. cheers Mick

Where are you based Umar I know a mobile locksmith what might be able to help.

He's only in Huddersfield il get you his number tomorrow buddy.

Time for a heads-Up for my local professional mobile car locksmith...specialising in all cars but knows Toyota's inside out with immobiliser reprogramming/ new cloned chips and the alarm/central locking set-up....

here.... http://www.johnscarkeysderby.co.uk/keycuttingderby.html

Not local to Bradford but maybe handy for the guys on here.

Send it to me if you like Shayne, it may need a new switch or it may just need soldering as the contacts break from the solder pads.

Timpson can clone and cut car keys. I took my only key (the one and only I have had since buying the car that was beginning to not work the doors) in to them and they popped it into the little box. The guy then told me it is a pre 95 car as that's when Land Cruisers changed to coded keys, and mine didn't have a fitted immobiliser. I was pretty impressed I must say. [emoji4]

oops i shouldn't have asked the question without doing some googling first so deleted about the same time you replied Rich . The replacement rubber came from an old fob as well so i will try a bit of foil or copper glued on the rubber to see if its just a worn contact .

Send me a photo. Is it a switch under the rubber or conductive rubber?

Just had a look at my spare because Helen appears to have taken the wrong truck again :icon-rolleyes: its switched under the rubber so foil wont help conduct , maybe the rubber just needs a bit of filler .

If it's a switch, try pressing the switch without the rubber. If it's still messing about it may need soldering.

Filling the mostly hollow rubber button cured it .
