Question for Australian members

Hi, This login was my dad's and I am using it help me out.
I have 'acquired' his HJ61 cruiser that has been sitting in a storage area for approx. 8 years!
My question is what do I do with it?
Who would be interested in the vehicle?

I have not been able to get to the storage area to take photos or do any detailed examination of the vehicle but at a quick look it looks reasonable.
From the paperwork:
1989 hj61 automatic
12HT diesel engine
Bloody great alloy roof rack!
Interior looks OK.
There is rust in the lower half of the drivers door only, the rest of the body looks OK.
I will get photos in about 2 weeks when I can get to the beast.

I just need to know who or where in Aus I can offload this beast!

Sorry forgot about that important bit of information. The vehicle is in Newcastle NSW.

Would love too if I had the gear to work on it and the space to do it.
Costing me money to store it but just seems a shame to dump it etc.

A 12HT engined manual HJ61 went for about $9-12k recently up here; it had about 500,000km on it from memory, a respray and was fairly tidy.

A 12HT alone is quite a desirable engine, so that's worth in the $6k region on it's own IIRC.

Hope that gives you some ideas - I have a mate's lad who would like one as his first car, but he's not going to be getting that any time soon as he's only 13...
