Anyone have an idea what this button does on left of steering column? LJ78 Prado.

Looks aftermarket so you'll need to trace the wiring. Does the LED actually illuminate so a switch for a lighting relay or similar? Alternatively take the missus out for a drive and try it.... could be an ejector seat!

Looking like an aftermarket switch maybe for rear fog best thing to do is switch it on and have a walk around with ignition off first then on then sidelights then headlights

Cheers guys it’s rear fog light! Was draining battery too.

Steve was spot on, imports have to have a rear fog light retro fitted when registered here to comply. Must be wired wrong if draining battery, it should only be operative with ignition and lights on. You now know what its for anyway.

Checked wiring it was stereo draining battery, had a permanent live so never switched off. Should be sorted when I replace with double din unit.
