Good feedback on weight from horses mouth's ;-)
I'm in a constant battle to control the cruisers weight.
Going to scratch the spare gas cylinder and see if the tent can be
mounted direct to 2 rails leaving a requirement for only a half rack.
The 2 jerrys stay ontop but as roman says - if full think of putting
them inside and emptying ASAP.
Jack stays on top - (lucky for Jack)
The 6th wheel goes behind the passenger seat where the seats were - have
an idea for making it secure to the shelving system. Can get a cover for
it if its dirty. With the exception of 1 month I'm solo in the vehicle
so won't want to break the back manhandling the wheel onto the roof
anyway - never thought of that Jeremy
Weight on roof now cut to:
60 kg =3D Tent
3 kg =3D Jerries (if full - into the belly of the beast)
16 kg =3D Small Rack (Rino aluminium rack is strong and light)
4 kg =3D lights (heavy buggers)
8/10 kg =3D HLJ
Another option is to go for a Hannibal Tent which weighs in at only 40
kg but the technitop is the business...
Thanks lads
Needed a sanity check there. Am back on the calorie controlled diet and
sensible weight up top.
Will keep you posted.

Hi Nial,
This won't work.
Most 1/2 racks I see tend to be more like 2/3rds length.
With your 1.4m tent and a rough roof length of 2.3m, you are only left
with 0.9m of space for that 'half length' rack.
Also bear in mind that you need at least 10-20mm of space around the
tent so that you can get to the zip that goes around the cover.

Re> This won't work.
You're right.
Dam all those weight watchers!
Anyway. We'll see how the final weight and cost of the rack ends up.
Cheers
Niall
