My Mickey Thompson 33'' tyres measure about 31.5''

i'm thinking about some 35's,just wondering if other 35's don't measure up as well.
i've bought some 25mm offset rims so i can dump the spacers

i'm looking at 35'' tyres by BFG,Cooper,Kumho or Mickey T's on 16'' rims

if you have 35'' tyres can you measure them please?

cheers

BFG and Cooper tend to measure up spot on. I have a set of both and they're deff 35" measured. BFG ATs and Cooper STT

Yep coopers 35" had kumos they measured 34". For some strange reason a lot of 35"s don't measure 35" don't know why.
If your after 16 inch tyres I know cooper 315/75/16 measure exactly 35".

Bfg km mud terrain measure true at 35"

thanks lads,probably get some BFG's

i've a 7.5cm lift and 25mm offset rims
do you think there'll be much any trimming involved?

cheers

Would 255/85R16 or 285/75R16 not measure up?
I had the 255 from BFG & they where BIG
Slightly smaller than the size WHITE90 mentiones.....
Some remoulds are also way bigger than the stated size suggests

285/75 is supposed to be 33''

on my Mickey Thompsons it measures 31.5''

315/75 is about 35''

It's bloody confusing i have been looking at changing sizes flipping between imperial and metric calculators and scouring the web for a picture and someone who actually tells the truth rather than generalizing 33/35 etc and the best i can work out is -

285/75 is 33"
305/70 is 32.5"
305/75 is 33.5"
315/70 is 33.5"
315/75 is 35"

And there's room for error there because i'm writing from memory and as has already been said size varies between manufacturers .

Incidentally most of the LR guys mention 33x12.50 . 305/70 is the closest to this i think . I was only looking at 16" wheel comparisons .

And even that is vague  https://tiresize.com/metric-tire-conversion/

just measured the width of my 285/75 BTG AT's at 250mm

i wonder if any tyres actually measure up to what they state on the sidewall

I have 315/75R16 Maxxis bighorn, and they measure 88cm / 34.6 inch, and 31 cm wide.

Good luck finding MT 315/75R16 tyres.
The only ones I could find in Europe are Cooper STT pro (speed rating K, max 110 km/h !!!!), maxxis bighorn, and Federal couragia (NO E-MARK !!!)
So my only option was the maxxis bighorn.

7,5 cm lift is more than enough, and -25mm offset weels are ideal for 80 series.

thanks niel

my choice is Cooper SST Pro's in 315/75 x 35'' on 16'' rims

my 7.5 OME suspension lift should accomodate them

Had a similar issue years ago while competing. One organiser put a 35" tyre limit on all competition cars and had a gauge made to check all cars at scrutineering. Back then the competition tyre of choice was Simex and almost everyone was running 35/12.5/15 simex centipedes but these were falling foul of the new rules because they actually measured over 35" whereas my 36/13.5/15 simex centipedes were exactly 35" and passed scrutineering despite supposedly being an inch taller :)
