Really?

I feel Landcruiser club is a different world. Almost everything I see and read here is new. Outside the club cars all about howmany buttons on dash, howmany and what brand speakers, colour, shine, bells n whistles, brand etc etc

I don't think this is particular to Landcruisers, Raj - get into any kind of niche, classic car or motorsport scene and its exactly the same; discussions on the issues specific to that marque or application - hours and hours of discussion on cam profiles or lead-additives, or oil in the wiring harnesses, choked DPFs, limitations of composting toilets... you get the idea!

That very vehicle was up here on Sunday for axle and transfer oil changes with himself.

Wow I saw that video, that car n the person felt like celebrity. Proud n happy to know car and person is in our club
Andy you are lucky to take care of that celebrity car. Since yesterday after seeing that video was looking at 80 series n thinking why this car didn’t come to mind :)

Was looking at AHC videos n found this video. These guys say 80series is among the best Landcruisers

Thats right. The 80 is one of the best, nearly as good as the 105, you might say!

KB in the Video he also mentioned about 105 n if I remember correctly he told there 1 or 2 105s in the country. I know the two 105s in the country. one is with you and the other is west coast off-roaders Carta rally winner.

I sent email to Westcoast off-road and requested appointment to discuss about the rally. Instead of wasting his time just for discussion, I asked him to do some repair on my car while we talk. I will go to hardknott pass on Dec 11th weekend. Will go to his place that weekend if I don’t get response. It’s hard to get hold of Landcruiser specialists in UK :)

I need them to see my car and give a list of things to prepare my car so I can plan and work towards it.

There are not a lot of 105s around . Paul and Tom had (have?) a few between them, really nicely done up. One has a hdfte in there.

@Scott has a delicious petrol.

I would say maybe under 50 on the road in the UK.

Ok who's got the turbo then? Ever seen clocks like those? Chassis number gives it as a VX RHD Turbo Diesel 9/93 manufactured.

This is seriously dodgy.

the clocks are found in middle east/oz spec 1HZ 80s. normally poverty pack.

vin plate missing from engine bay.

1HZ auto 80, JDM, oz and middle east.

slowest thing known to man..

Though you would never believe it if you ever get the chance to follow Clive's non turbo around the twisting roads of Romania :auto-rally:

Got to say my first 80 was 1hz auto and it didn't seem that slow to me. Mind you I hadn't driven a turbocharged 80 before then. Used to tow 16ft ifor William's with bangers on all over the country. My mates transits and recovery trucks could never keep up with me.

This is seriously dodgy.

Paint code comes up as 6M1 which is green. That looks like Tempest grey to me. Send one truck out, bring a different one back and hope nobody notices.

I know the guy who backheeled it, his driver went down from Wakefield and refused to bring it due to serious rot.
