Re - seat hinge bolts, are headless, and look as though they need a
special tool to remove them.
Tried to get a tool for those nuts recently - no joy - tried lots of
places.
Got them out by tapping the outside edge of flat side of the nut with
hammer & flat screw driver. Once loosened slightly they come out no
bother.

Strange, both our 80's have normal head bolts (14mm IIRC) into the
floor...
Best regards,
Jon.

Hi,
Best option is to use a cold chissel or screwdriver on the outer edge
to tap them loose.
If you are getting them all at once the chances are it is a connection
with the alternator - check all the cables connected to alternator and
if necessary trace the cables back to where they go if still a problem.
Sound like the pump needs setting up properly.
When you replaced it did you make sure that the timing was setup
correctly?
If the timing was spot on I would be tempted to tweak the load volume
screw to up the power - if you talk to the pump chap he should be able
to advise you.
