I dont have the skills or tools to repair my cars unfortunately, my 70 series kingpins need attention but the normal chap i use is either busy or cant do them(not sure which) and I thought to ask if anyone knows someone capable in LC's in my area before i venture further afield.

Cheers

If you're doing the king pins, I'd do the rear wiper seals too. There's little point putting the old ones back on unless they're very recent. I'd also do the inner axle oil seal whilst it in bits. Takes 5 mins, costs a few quid and you won't have to do it again. Obviously, the CVs will want some grease in there and so will the swivels themselves. None of this is difficult to do, but I'd shy away from any garage that didn't understand swivel hubs and the correct adjustments.
One day someone will be brave enough to open the London Landcruiser Centre. I think there's enough work down there! But for now, the number of acknowledged cruiser specialists is very low across the UK never mind just London. Julian is the obvious choice but how quickly he could fit you in and how long it would be before you got it back, I couldn't say. It's a couple of hours work if it all goes well.

I've contacted Julian this morning via his proffered message system. I can wait if required but I do need to address the tracking but again one garage who probably took the easy way out and just said the bars were seized and i'd need new ones. :rage:

Heat usually unseizes bars. Any decent garage knows that.

In fairness the tyre place did try heating them but I don’t think they soaked them long enough. I think as you said before they gave up rather quickly.
