[relays][exhaust]

Hi Guys
While I was at the Toyota guy today, not spending just enquiring I asked for
a price for the two relays for the head lights. You know the ones that gave
me hassle last month. Well the brown one is 35 euro and the green one is 65
euro each not for a dozen of each but just for one. If any of you come
across some of these and you do not need them I will buy them from you maybe
depends on the cost. My auto electric guy said he fixed the problem one but
me being me I want a back up one just in case. I have tried all the breakers
with in a 50 mile radias and none have them. What a rip off for a bit of a
relay. The exhaust including vat and fitting would cost me over 700 euro,
now thats a price.
Thanks

John,
No Toyotas in breaker yards at all?
That's more than unlikely, unless Ireland is at trade war with Japan :)

John, have a look at the website for - vehicle wiring products, a UK
based company. The have a section just for relays, solenoids and
holders. See if they will ship to you.

I went to the breakers and they direct you to their boxes of relays and none
of them matched at all. I think maybe someone else got there before me .

VWP don't sell Denso relays.
You can't avoid paying Toyota prices or scouring breakers' yards.
The headlamp relay (square, second from the right) is a standard issue
item in Toyota Starlet, Tercel, Paseo, Corolla, Celica, Carina, Camry,
Cressida, Supra, Lexus, Previa, Hilux, 4-runner, Hiace, part no

John,
you're correct - it a LC only relay. However:
- it is more reliable than the other relay,
- as a single pole single throw relay that can be fixed using parts
from other Denso relays

Hey Roman
Your not telling me that I can only get this relay from a landcruiser in a
breakers here, thats not possible there are none. If any one comes across
one of these relays in a breakers and you do not need it I might be
interested.
