Looks like a contractor's truck. Under the bonnet, it shows it's original
colour was white.
Probably been used on a construction project somewhere.

Hi Neill,
Possibly although with rally cars we always used to paint the engine
bay white because it made it easier to work on.

Sorry to butt in on this thread, but this is twice now.....
This is the second email I've received from the list whereby the original
post has passed me by. I have never received a post about "RHD HDJ80 on
French Ebay". There is also a thread entitled "Luncheon Meat" - again I have
no first post.
I have not had this problem previously. Any thoughts as to why now?
Pete
Hi Steve,
It does make life a lot easier - there is nothing worse than peering
into a dark and dingy engine bay and the white paint helps reflect the
light around and also it easier to see oil/fluid leaks against a white
background than a darker one.

Hi Peter,
Not enough coffee?
Nobody else has reported a problem so could it be at your end? Any
spam filters, etc blocking things?

Looks very LHD to me.
The ad says it was owned by EDF electricit? de france, which is the
french electricity services. The color matches EDFs indeed although I
cannot see sticker marks. I had a citroen AX with the same color for
some time, and my 1975 BJ40 with the factory color code 854 "sky blue"
is pretty close too, but it doesn't look that great on a 80 series
unfortunately.

Allrigh, allrigh, it does. Depends on the point of view - facing the
car it is on your right, innit?
