roof bars - cheap

My mates at the Pajero club have recommended those made and sold
direct by http://www.direct4x4.co.uk
They are 35 + 12 carriage + VAT. That's 55.23 a pair. Very good value.
They are rated at 150kg load capacity, and although basic they will
do the job I think. There are 3 different bracket heights and 2
different bar lengths which can be cut down if required. They are not
aerodynamic and apparently do not have lockable fittings. The price
is the same across the range amazingly.
They also have bars for rails and bars for gutterless roofs too.
There are also some nice looking complete roof racks in aluminium.
One is very aerodynamic and another more basic but very agreeable
prices. They may not look up to the spec required by you overlanders
out there but for basic lumping and carrying they look sufficient.
Though the Pajero men reckon they take a lot of punishment.
So, has anyone else heard of them please?

They look OK don't they. The roofrack at =A3151 + VAT looks good value too.

Hi Jon
I have the roof rack and while it is light and seems strong enough, it would
not take any bit of a bashing.
More for suitcases, cargo etc.
Also it comes with about 200 little nuts and bolts which I found crap, too
small and weak and easly broken when making up the roof rack.
The rack itself tends to vibrate and could need help.
But over all its fine and does the job but as I say not for heavy throwing
up ladders, boards , that kind of stuff
