Rust proofing

Today I took my 25 year old Collie to have a comprehensive rust proofing treatment. The chassis, sills and general underneath was already excellent but I want to keep it that way. The garage did an excellent job, very happy. The guy who did it said it was one of the best he had seen. The chap who has a garden machinery business next to the garage had had a look at it while it was on the ramps and asked if I would sell it. He mentioned that he worked in Africa for 10 years and drove LC’s and Land Rovers extensively going on to say that the Toyotas were pretty trouble free while the Land Rovers reliability was questionable in comparison. It was interesting to hear about his time driving in Africa and no I didn’t sell it to him.

It’s Waxoyl. They did my Defender six years ago and when I sold it last year the underneath was still perfect. Not everyone seems to like Waxoyl but it’s been fine in my experience.
