So I know I don't have a 'Cruiser now, but Scott does! I'm sure that when he gets a chance he'll add some more pics to this thread:

Scott and Steph passed through Armidale on their travels, and met up with us near Point Lookout

Unfortunately Steph managed to pick up a bite from a big ant whilst this photo was being taken!

From there we headed along Forest Way, and into the Jeogla Park area, where there was a trail that I wanted to look at as I’ve seen it in the past:

Which as you headed down got steeper and steeper as you headed down:

There was a tree that might be a bit snug for Wanda as it over hung a fair bir, so we watched them through:

But all was good:

Couple of bits to catch you out as you headed along the trail:

Then Scott and Steph followed us through:

Headed our way around another trail (which Delz didn’t get photos of….) but was really different to the earlier trail, and then dropped down to an awesome spot for lunch:

Then back up the powerlines as a straight line:

Headed off to another trail to get us back to the campsite (eventually) which was another nice narrow trail:

Where we found a couple of water dragons at the side of the road:

Set up camp, which was interesting as both set ups took about the same time to sort out:

In the morning headed over to another area and then disappeared up a trail that was sort of visible on a map… ie it appeared at one end, but not the other!

Heading up the hill brings us up through some more sub tropical raninforest:

The trail was signposted at the top end!

Headed off onto one of the more main roads, with the aim of finding a cut through to the main road; unfortunately this way had a sign that said it was a No Through Road, so we carried on until there was a good space to pull over to air up…

Quick stop at Wollomomboi Falls, which were bone dry, but still spectacular:

And then home…

So not as extreme as Ben's trails, but a really good snap shot of the New England region in terms of the variety of bush, land and gorges... definitely now up there as a trip to be done again when we have visitors up this way.

Thanks to Delz for the photos; I think Scott has some footage of Delz hanging out the window as we're doing the trails grabbing some of the photos, and good luck to Scott and Steph on the rest of their travels!

Great trip report and pics Ed.

I'm hoping I will be able to write a similar report soon if Scott and Steph make it down this way.

They're planning on stopping via you if they get a chance (actually I think that's the next target, before departure) although they have a pretty cool route down to Melbourne lined up from here!

If they time it right I could probably squeeze them in on the High Country trip I'm going on. :icon-cool:

Already got 19 trucks going, cant see one more making a difference.

Thats next weekend so they've got 8-9 days to get down here. :icon-biggrin:
