Slightly off LC topic.. Condensation in Vehicle

Alright guys
The cruiser is off the road until the preps for Africa are finished.
Have picked up a '92 Isuzu trooper to get about
Does anyone know how to get rid of excessive condensation in a
vehicle? When I say excessive, I mean its like there was a hose turned
on in it every time I get into it.
This is the first and last Isuzu question :)
Thanks
Niall

Hi Niall,
Has it got Air con - if so run that up circulating the internal air.

We had this in our old Passat. The causes were:
(1) Leaking sun-roof
(2) Rot in the rear wings letting water in
(3) Children leaving windows open
We couldn't do much about (1) or (2), although parking it under cover helped a lot with (1).
Drying it out was achieved periodically by a combination of leaving it with doors open (and battery disconnected 'cos of interior light drain) on a sunny day like today, and taking it for a long drive with the heater on in dry weather. (They didn't put air-conditioning in 1981 VW Passats!)
The *real* cure for the problem was selling it... at 17 years old for =A3250=2E
It's also worth checking the air inlets to the heating/ventilation to see if leaves have clogged something up and are holding/diverting moisture.

Good pointers there - thanks.
You did well to get 250 for the passat!!
Yes - old age is the cause and disposal is the cure.
I'm going to give it a good dry out with a boat de-humidifier at the weekend.
Have a good weekend yourself!
